History

Sword was founded in Ireland in the late 90s by Diarmuid Smyth and became the leading supplier of crowd management and event security services in the country before expanding into the UK market in 2006. The UK operations grew quickly due to the quality of service and professionalism and in 2011 was awarded the contract for Crowd Management and Stewarding for the Olympic Park and other LOCOG venues for the London Olympic Games. The company has developed into a key provider of global sporting events providing services from the Olympics in 2012 to the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in 2014 and our clients include major stadiums and venues from Aviva Stadium in Dublin, King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah and BMO Field in Toronto.

Our European Headquarters are based in London and our North and South Amercian HQ is in Toronto.
